The word 'geode' has it's origin in ancient Greece, meaning 'Earth-like,' or 'World-like,' and I love the image this evokes: A geode is indeed like a tiny, self-contained world. These beautiful landscapes of Amethyst crystal range from pale rose and violet to deep, smokey purple. Each is cradled in a nest of bronze or sterling silver, the swirling, nebula-like branches inspired by the world-tree of myth.
Since ancient times, Amethyst has been associated with calm and sobriety, and was carried as an amulet to protect against panic and confusion. It helps to focus the mind and alleviate anxiety, and welcomes a sense of serenity, security and well-being. Once you feel the comforting weight of this amulet, and lose yourself in it's faceted, labyrinthine world, you understand how these legends came to be. Each of these stones are unique, and vary slightly in size and shape, so I've listed them separately for you to choose. See ruler for scale.
